The Institute

 IFAB (Italian Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis) located in Rome – Via Annia Faustina, 9, is a professional organization of psychotherapists and its aim is to spread "holistic psychology" that connects mind, body and emotions, following the Bio-energetic Analysis model. The Institute is affiliated to l'International Institute of Bioenergetic Analysis di New York (I.I.B.A.), it has been founded by Alexander Lowen and has 54 affiliates world-wide. Doctors and psychologists of the Institute have been trained in the subject matter since 1988 even though it was only legally accepted in 1991.

IIFAB became officially affiliated to I.I.B.A., on the 24th of November 1993, applying the following regulations:

On the 20th of March 1998 the Italian Government recognised that IIFAB was eligible to activate training programmes for psychotherapists.

Following the Bioenergetic Analysis methodology IIFAB has been promoting training and in-depth courses for various professionals:
