.THE OFFICIAL RECOGNITION OF THE IIFAB

PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC TRAINING SCHOOL

(Italian Institute of Training for Bioenergetic Analysis)

By an ordinance dated 20/3/1993, the Ministry of the University and Scientific and Technological Research, according to the law 56/89, has recognised the Italian Institute of Training for Bioenergetic Analysis school as suitable to start training courses.

The Italian Institute of Training for Bioenergetic Analysis (IIFAB), located in Rome in 9 - Via Annia Faustina, is a cultural and scientific non-profit association. All the School training activities follow the theoretical pattern of Alexander Lowen. To this purpose the Institute is linked to the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis of New York (I.I.B.A.)

The official legal formalization of the Institute has been accomplished in 1991, but the actual starting of all the psychotherapeutic formation courses dates back to 1988. In that year, in fact, the first formation course for practitioners and psychologists based on the Bioenergetic Analysis pattern was held.

Effective 24th November 1993 IIFAB is officially affiliated to I.I.B.A. (International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis of New York).
This implies:

  • the adequacy of the training programmes and supervision activities, both in the forms and contents, to the general criteria established by I.I.B.A.
  • the acceptance by IIFAB of the I.I.B.A. deontological code;
  • the full participation of I.I.B.A. teachers (visiting professors) from the United States to the IIFAB courses in order to teach and to supervise;
  • the continuous exchange for scientific and research purposes with I.I.B.A.
